Expeditions
"Everything is reciprocity"
Alexander von Humboldt, August 1803
No poverty. No hunger. No environmental destruction. No inequality. This is the roadmap for the future decided by the global community. These ambitious goals will ensure decent and dignified human lives. Everywhere and for everyone. Sustainability can only be achieved together. Governments, as well as companies and individuals, are equally responsible. And, of course, science, which uses research as a method to seek out promising new pathways, technologies and solutions, classify them, and put them through their paces.
Researchers at the Humboldt University are studying sustainability issues in numerous projects. We'll present a few here, and we want to start a discussion about them. We call these 'Expeditions' – commemorating Alexander von Humboldt's research expedition to America from 1799 to 1804.
